Genesis: The beginning of all things, but also the moment where the fall first took root.

This is a comparison of the present times to that of the Renaissance period, as it was also an era of pivotal shift that led to incredible advancements—but also distanced humanity from its spiritual roots. While the so-called golden gilded era, much like our modern era (with its AI, automation, robotics, etc.), might look like a “rebirth,” it is merely just the beginning of The Fall of Man. Much like Adam and Eve’s bite of the forbidden fruit that led them to enlightenment but also to their end (deaths).

This collection explores the tension between innovation and downfall, drawing from the grandeur of the Renaissance while infusing it with the cold mechanical future we are stepping into. (Using the forbidden fruit as a metaphor for all the advancements that look good in hindsight but, in the bigger picture, are the reason for our end.)

And yet we are always reaching for the next forbidden fruit—will this be our last, or are we stuck in a trance?
